Such conflicts can lead to excessive strain, frustration or inner withdrawal. But if you understand what really drives you, you can find ways to deal with these tensions – whether through conscious adaptation or targeted changes.
What is Profile Dynamics®?
Profile Dynamics® is a scientifically sound analysis method based on Clare W. Graves’ research into motivation and values. It helps to make people’s individual drives, values and ways of thinking visible. By analyzing these underlying motivations, not only can individual behaviour patterns be understood, but team dynamics can also be managed in a targeted manner.
The scientific foundation
Profile Dynamics® is based on the “Theory of Levels of Human Existence” by Clare W. Graves. This theory describes how societies and people develop different values and motivations at different stages of life in order to overcome new challenges.
Each value system builds on the previous one and emerges as a solution to the limitations and problems of the previous stage. The levels also alternate in their orientation – from me-centered to we-centered – which leads to different needs and behaviors.
The model has been further developed through numerous scientific studies and today offers a valid basis for understanding and providing targeted support for individual and organizational developments.
The seven value levels of Profile Dynamics®
Profile Dynamics® distinguishes between seven levels of values, which each person carries in varying degrees:
- Purple (security & belonging):
Community, tradition and harmony take priority. Decisions are made out of a sense of belonging. - Red (Power & Assertion):
Dominance, drive and the pursuit of short-term success. This is about self-assertion and immediate results. - Blue (order & structure):
Discipline, responsibility and rules provide security. Blue strives for clarity, processes and stability. - Orange (success & performance):
Innovation, competition and goal orientation. Orange stands for entrepreneurial thinking and the pursuit of measurable success. - Green (people & harmony):
Empathy, equality and collaboration. Green puts people at the center and focuses on team spirit. - Yellow (Knowledge & Flexibility):
Personal responsibility, learning and creative problem solving. Yellow thinks systemically and combines knowledge with flexibility. - Turquoise (wholeness & sustainability):
Global responsibility, networking and sustainability. Turquoise strives for the big picture and sustainable solutions.

In systemic individual coaching with Profile Dynamics®, I support you in gaining a deep understanding of your inner drivers and values. We start with a scientifically based values analysis: before our coaching appointment, you will receive an online test that reveals your individual motivations, needs and potential resistance.
In our joint session, we take a detailed look at your personal values profile. We will talk about which values are particularly strong in you (your expression) and where possible inner blockages or resistance (opposition) lie. Together we will analyze how these dynamics manifest themselves in your everyday professional and private life – be it in certain stressful situations, in dealing with colleagues or in change processes.
On this basis, we develop new options for action that suit you. In this way, you will find out how you can deal better with stressful situations or whether a conscious change – in your behavior or perhaps even in your professional environment – is the right step for you.
The best thing about it: you can also book the Profile Dynamics® values analysis independently of further coaching. You will gain valuable insights into your personal driving forces – and then decide for yourself whether and how you would like to deepen these findings.
